Northwestern Connecticut Area Health Education Center's(NWCTAHEC) mission is to develop awareness of and interest and skills in health careers for youth from ethnic and racial backgrounds underrepresented in the health professions.

NWCTAHEC helps students, K-12 to discover the exciting world of medicine, nursing, allied health, biotechnology and science careers. Through "hands-on" and engaging programs, NWCTAHEC helps students to understand what skills and knowledge are needed to pursue and obtain successful health careers.
